Simply put, FADVideo.Tv is a website: a network of streaming video web pages organized by topics that we call “channels”.
Yes in some respects it’s like On Demand TV, but without the monthly fees. You log onto FADVideo.Tv with your computer, select your topic and program, then just sit back and watch. Unlike Cable TV, FADVideo.Tv can be viewed from anywhere in the world one can get internet access, and without any additional charges. In addition, more information about anything seen on FADVideo.Tv can be obtained thru provided links to other websites, or by using your favorite internet search engines.
The mission of FADVideo.Tv is to be a reflection of our community at large: Our interests, lifestyles, businesses, recreations and activities. Our valley is populated by people with different interests, hobbies, likes, dislikes and backgrounds. Some of us are full time residents while some simple come for the season. People from all over the world have vacation homes in this valley, while some families have been desert dwellers for generations. Our goal is to provide programming content that features and interests all groups.
FADVideo.Tv is the creation of Awesome Dude Video, a company in Palm Desert providing video production services for local TV, small business and organizations. To date, most of the shows you’ll find on the FADVideo.Tv network are projects ADV has been involved with.
We are however actively looking for shows created by other producers and content providers that meet our programming criteria. We say “FADVideo.Tv: It’s all about you!” If it’s about the community, its people, lifestyle, events, business… we want it!
At this time all content is uploaded and programmed by our staff. YouTube is a great platform for home videos and has practically created the “social networking” market. FADVideo.Tv is targeting a more professional content provider and is committed to a “clean screen” that really features the video. We don’t watermark the video, and we do want to make it easy for you find the program you’re looking for, instead of directing you to 15 other “similar” ones.
FADVideo.Tv charges a small, onetime upload fee based on the length of the program. After that the program will fall into 1 of 2 categories: It’s either entertaining in nature, or it’s sales. A sales piece such-as a typical :30 sec commercial or infomercial will incur a charge, again based on length and placement.
It’s the entertaining programs that really make the FADVideo.Tv concept work. And by entertaining I mean anything that captivates the viewers attention: Documentaries, news, sports, music, community activities, business reports, etc. Of course even these cost dollars to produce and are normally paid for by sponsors who receive program space for their product, service or message. We believe this should be not more 20% of the program length.
So for these types of programs there is no monthly charge. It runs for free and everybody wins. The sponsors get face time and don’t have the expense of airtime or DVD duplicating and mailing. That leaves more in the budget for the producers to charge enough to actually make a profit, and FADVideo.Tv gets the entertaining content we’re looking for. Triple win!
FADVideo.Tv receives income from 3 sources:
The service fees for handling and upload of videos and ads. By design this is minimal and usually just covers our costs.
Much of the content seen on FADVideo.Tv is produced by ADV. So although it runs for free, the company has made money by creating the program, just like our associate producers do.
The third source is our Banner Ads: the rotating ads on the right side of the FADVideo.Tv screen.
While the focus of our video content is our valley community, in truth our community is formed by viewer interests as much as it is by geography. Those who make up our community are at times spread throughout our country and our world, however they share common interests: They live and shop in the Coachella Valley. Maybe full time, maybe part time or as visitors, but they do live and shop locally, and this fact creates an outstanding opportunity. Local business, clubs and organizations, special event planners, entertainment and recreation operators and more can advertise their products and services worldwide to that targeted community, and it can be done from one central location. FADVideo.Tv becomes like a town square for our community at large providing information all these interests, and doing it in an entertaining format. Each Banner Ad displayed on the side of the video screen is programmed to link the viewer directly to the advertisers information page or website.

Each Banner Ad can be tracked to know how many times it appears on a computer screen, somewhere in the world. Frankly, FADVideo.Tv is just too new to be able to project this number with any accuracy, however we can provide a quarterly report on past activity.
Many websites have the ability to report on where their viewers come from, so it’s possible for each advertiser can tell how many of their viewers came from the FADVideo.Tv Banner Ad link.
I’m sure it’s true that banners in general are not as effective as they were ten years ago.
